No. What I'm doing is replacing incorrect pharkas with more appropriate hyphens and incorrect hyphens with proper pharkas. Each symbol has its own use, and the uses do not overlap. Pharka (according to Wikipedia) can come only after certain consonants, and to use it as a connector between words is not one of its functions, whereas that is a function of hyphens.
The same problem exists regarding the găhlă ṭuḍăg and periods/full stops. Each symbol has its own function, and they shouldn't be used indiscriminately.
